THE TOOLS YOU’LL NEED TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE
Having a flat tire on the road is an inconvenience that happens to most drivers at least once. Knowing how to change a flat won’t help, though, if you don’t have a proper set of tools for changing a tire.
Most vehicles today include at least an emergency spare tire, sometimes called a “doughnut.” It’s important to make sure your spare has enough air pressure periodically, so it can serve its purpose when you need it. You’ll also need to keep a car jack and a tire iron with the spare. Consider investing in a pneumatic jack and spinning tire iron to make changing tires faster.
At Knoepfler Chevrolet, our automotive technicians can help you with any questions you may have about staying safe and being prepared to change a flat tire. Be sure to bring your vehicle in to our service center if you do have a flat for an inspection.
